Charley Belcher is an American journalist working as a feature reporter for FOX 13 News. His stories are usually on air from Monday to Friday mornings on Good Day Tampa Bay.

Charley is a three-time Emmy grant-winning element journalist. His accounts air Monday through Friday mornings on Good Day Tampa Bay in a portion called “Charley’s World.”
They are anecdotes about individuals and occasions in the Tampa Bay territory by and large from Charley’s imaginative point of view. Charley has won three Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards for his element revealing throughout the years.
His first Emmy was for a progression of highlight reports following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the NFC Championship game in St. Louis in 2000. He won his second Emmy in 2005 in the wake of profiling well-known picture taker Bud Lee. What’s more, his third Emmy was granted for an element story he did on a butterfly rancher in St. Petersburg.
Charley was born in Ft. Myers and he grew up ideal here in the Tampa Bay region – Pasco County to be definite. He got a degree in communicating at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
Before coming back to the Sunshine State, Charley filled in as a columnist at WIVK radio and WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. He came back to the place where he grew up and joined FOX 13 in January of 1998.
Charley is an ardent games fan, and consistently pulls for the neighborhood groups – the Bulls, the Bolts, the Rays and, obviously, the Bucs!

Florida Maritime Museum focuses on Tampa Bay’s fishing history
The Florida Maritime Museum takes pride in the local fishing industry.
The museum is sponsored by the Manatee County Clerk of Circuit Courts and is situated on almost four acres of land. It was founded on the importance of the regional commercial fishing industry.
FMM tells a number of stories pertaining to all aspects of Florida’s maritime history. Exhibits include historic photographs, boat models, tools, instruments, and other historic artifacts. The museum also features a large collection of shells from the Gulf of Mexico.
Along with their permanent exhibits, they have a visiting exhibit called, “The Greek Communities of Tarpon Springs and the Bahamas: An Intertwined History.”
