Wishing Anna Carrera a Fond Farewell!
CHAMPAIGN — It was bound to happen someday: after four and a half years, ciLiving contributor and news reporter Anna Carrera will be moving to her next television opportunity in Indianapolis.
Tuesday on ciLiving, she reminisced about her time at the station.
“Sometimes you just don’t know where the time went,” remarked Carrera. “This has been a wonderful experience and I am so glad that I was able to come to cook and have fun with you guys on your show!”
Anna chose one of her favorite “fun” visits to the show to share again with viewers: an amusing take-off on the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story.”
Former ciLiving storyteller Joe Barlow shared his “good luck” message for Anna as well, regaling her with wisdom for her move to a bigger television station.
The ciLiving team also “cooked up” two classic recipes in honor of Anna’s departure. Both recipes were “From the Vault,” coming from IGA/WCIA-TV “Safe Holiday Season” Cookbooks from 1991 and 1994. Both recipes were chosen tongue-in-cheek: Carrera has been asked throughout her time at the station whether she is a relation to former WCIA news reporter and anchor Marta Carriera. Despite similar last names, they are of no relation.
